Coconut Fun

It has been a while since I have updated the Little Skurd's blog. The addition of little Evan to our clan has taken some adjustment. I'm finally getting to a point where I feel like I know which way is up. I did say, I feel like I know, some days better than others. Hey, and it has only taken me 2 years and 3 months. In an attempt to do something creative and for my own amusement I plan on keeping the blog updated a little better.

Tatum saw some coconuts at the store and wanted to get one. They were on sale so why not? I figured it would be something fun to do one evening. They patiently watched while Daddy made holes for the milk to escape.

Now, what's actually inside that coconut?

Time for a taste...will they like it?

Eli, do you want another taste? "No way get that away from me!"
No thumbs up on the coconut milk.

It's finally time to swing the hammer and break that baby open. It's hard to tell from the picture, but Evan was clapping and cheering as Tatum was swinging the hammer.

Evan waited a while then said, "Okay my turn."

Eli had the lucky swing and broke open the coconut.

The rest of the coconut wasn't a big hit either. Evan, do you want to try the coconut? "No thank you Mommy." He's pretty sharp, he didn't like the coconut milk and didn't want to waste his time trying anymore. He had better things to do after all, his bike was calling his name.
